Okay, this was HELL to upload. Mediafire kind of messed up with me. And I had to rename all the tracks and stuff. But I just had to share it. And I'd appreciate it if you commented if you're downloading - and you SHOULD download it (or, if you think the filesize of the entire OST is too heavy, at least take the sample tracks).
bare: a pop opera is about Peter and Jason, two Catholic schoolboys maintaining a taboo relationship. It's about religion and sex, secrets and loyalty; about a group of messed-up kids, who, at the end of the day, are just looking for guidance - or, at the very least, someone who'd listen. It's about the purity of Peter and Jason's love, even though the Church calls it tainted and taboo.
And even though this show never made it to Broadway, it's brilliant and IMO is among the ranks of RENT.

I was scrolling through a friend's iPod playlist when I saw Carole King among the artists. I instantly played "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?" and melted into a pool of glee and nostalgia; I was startled when the song segued into an unfamiliar melody - I first thought it was just a live improv (because Carole King's awesome like that), but it ran too long (the entire mp3 stretches at 7 minutes), so I figured it must have been a medley. So I went home and downloaded The Carnegie Hall Concert album, and realized that she'd medleyed two songs after Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow? and it all happened so naturally.

Okay, this isn't a media-sharing journal, and I normally wouldn't post albums/soundtracks, except that this one has been on repeat for around a month. No kidding.
Doctor Horrible's Sing-Along Blog is a 40-something-minute internet musical film in three acts, written by Joss Whedon (of Buffy/Angel fame) and starring Neil Patrick Harris as its title character. It centers on three characters: the anti-hero Billy/Doctor Horrible (Harris), his love interest Penny (Felicia Day), and his archnemesis the hero Captain Hammer (Nathan Filliion). Billy Buddy is an aspiring villain and world-ruler who has been applying to get in the Evil League of Evil, which is headed by Bad Horse, but all he really wants is social change. I love the characters, the ironies, and the ending. And the script. You can watch it online here
